Two laps at Sonoma Raceway compared in an Analysis workspace, each in its own color

New in Podium: Analysis workspaces

Compare laps from any session at the same track, across events, and follow a car live, all in one workspace in your browser.

Analysis is a new place in Podium for comparing laps side by side. Pull sessions from different events at the same track into one workspace, pick the laps you care about, and see exactly where the time goes. It works in your browser, on any session you can see, yours or anyone's.

Press Analyze on any session

Every session's dashboard now has an Analyze button. Press it, and Podium puts that session in a workspace for its track. If you already have one there, it joins it. If not, Podium starts one, named for the track and the date.

Not where you wanted it? The message that pops up has a Change button. Move the session to another workspace at that track, or start a new one.

Compare laps across events

A workspace holds one track, and it can hold sessions from as many events as you like. A test day in spring, a race weekend in summer, a friend's best run: press Analyze on each, and they land side by side.

Tick the laps you want to compare. Each lap gets its own color, and it keeps that color on the track map, the gauges and every chart. Line laps up by Distance to see where you brake, turn in and get back on the power, or by Time to watch the gap open and close.

Long device names? Press the pencil beside a session to give it a short name, like "#44" or "Fox". The short name shows on the dashboard and in the legend, and it only applies to that workspace.

Follow a car live

Analysis works during a session too. Press Analyze on a car that's out on track, and the workspace follows it live, so its trace builds up right next to the laps you're comparing it against.

One session is followed live at a time. Press Analyze on another live car and it takes over, or use the switch beside each session to choose which one to follow.

Dashboards that go with you

Each workspace has its own set of dashboards, shown as tabs across the top. Use the same dashboards you already saved on a session page: Import opens a saved dashboard as a new tab, and Save keeps any tab for later. To keep the whole set, save it as a collection and use it in your next workspace.

Keep your workspaces organized

The Analysis page, in the menu on the left, lists your workspaces grouped by track. Rename them, drag a session from one workspace onto another to copy it, and delete the ones you're done with. Deleting a workspace never deletes your sessions.

On the free plan you can keep three workspaces. Podium Pro has no limit.

Try it now

Open any session and press Analyze. If you already have a Podium account, a short video tour appears on the home page the next time you visit, and you can watch it again under Tutorials.
